Dr. Dale Sorenson
Dr. Dale Sorenson
Dr. Dale Sorenson attended Wabash College for his undergraduate education where he earned All-American honors in swimming.
He received his D.D.S. degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry. He is currently a Lead Visiting Faculty at the Pankey Institute, member of the Indiana State Board of Dentistry, sits on the Board of Directors of the Pankey Institute and is a Class One triple Plus Club member.

He currently serves as the Chairman of the Provost Committee at the Pankey Institute which serves the Executive Director.
He is a member of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, American Equilibration Society, Fellow in the American College of Dentists, ADA, IDA and First District Dental Society.

He has lectured throughout the United States and Canada including the ADA Annual Session, Florida National Dental Congress and the Greater New York Dental Meeting. His lecture topics include esthetics, preparation design and technique, hands-on workshops, provisionalization, occlusion and practice philosophy. He has also published numerous articles in various journals and newsletters.

Dr. Low received his Dental Degree and Master of Science degree in Periodontics from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston and a Masters degree in Education from the University of Florida. He is a Professor of Periodontology and Associate Dean at the College of Dentistry, University of Florida. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and associate faculty member of the L.D. Pankey Institute.Organized dentistry activities include past president of his affiliate and component dental association, and a member of both the Florida Dental Association and American Dental Association House of Delegates and a consultant for the American Dental Association. He is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honorary Fraternity and a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. Dr. Low was honored as the Florida Dental Association’ s “Dentist of the Year” and the Distinguished Alumnus of the University of Texas Dental School. He is a District III Trustee to the American Academy of Periodontology. Dr Low is Past-President of the Florida Dental Association.
Dr. Lee Ann Brady

Dr. Lee Brady is a bundle of energy and encouragement who positively impacts everyone she encounters. She graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1988. She was an associate in a capitation practice for five years in Gainesville, Florida, and was a part-time clinical instructor in the Santa Fe Community College Dental Hygiene program during this period. She then developed her own solo fee-for-service practice in Tucker, Georgia.

After six years, she took a two-year sabbatical to be home with her three children. She then returned to private practice as an associate in Jacksonville, Florida, and attended The Pankey Institute Continuum.

Since January 2005, she has been a resident clinical instructor at The Pankey Institute and developed a private practice at The Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida. Her passion for optimal oral health care and teaching have earned her high recognition as a speaker, educational facilitator, and clinical instructor. She was appointed to the position of Clinical Director of The Pankey Institute in March 2006.

She is passionate about solving complex cases, understanding the needs and concerns of her patients, facilitating the success of colleagues, and through her conversations and writing helping dentists find balance in their lives and learn from her failures and successes. She is as vibrant and compassionate in her personal life as she is in the classroom and operatory. Lee treasures her career, family life, and personal time.

Dr. Mark E. Hyman is a renowned dentist and public speaker whose work is characterized by his warmth, enthusiasm, sense of humor, and passion for dentistry. His commitment to his patients is evident in his high-quality approach to dental health, emphasizing long-lasting relationships with patients and using the most state-of-the-art equipment available.

A native of Greensboro, Dr. Hyman received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his dental degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. After receiving his dental degree, Dr. Hyman underwent a four-month internship as a volunteer dentist in Israel. He then completed a two year General Practice Residency in Oral Medicine at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

Dr. Hyman has lectured throughout North America at every major dental meeting and has frequently been noted as a top speaker at his engagements. Many who've seen him speak have raved about his inspiring, uplifting message. For the last five years, Dr. Hyman has appeared in Dentistry Today magazine's list of top 100 speakers in dentistry.

Dr. Hyman serves on the surgical staff of Moses Cone Health System. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and was elected President of the Guilford County Dental Society in 1991. He currently teaches at the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida, as well as the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, where he serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor. Dr. Hyman was honored by the North Carolina Dental Society as Young Dentist of the Year in 1995 and has received the Mastership Award of the Academy of General Dentistry.

Graduated with an Economics degree from Florida International and completed a Masters in Business Administration from St. Thomas University in 1998. Received a Certified Financial Planner designation from Florida State University in 2001, and is currently seeking a PhD in Public Administration at Nova Southeastern University.ompliance Officer at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter before coming to the Institute in 1995. For the Institute, he has managed the Student Services departments of the Institute (Registration and Lodging), spearheaded many projects (including construction, facility usage, financial operation studies, Alumni and Triple Plus Club meetings, outreach seminars and other special events), and is now also manager of the Institute's Marketing and Communications areas.

Dr. Murphy's role as roving diplomat for The Pankey Institute is a perfect fit for his affable personality. As Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Dr. Murphy carries the message of the Institute to organizations, associations, schools and groups throughout North America. He also assists other resident faculty members in teaching courses at the Institute.From 1981-1989 Dr. Murphy was an adjunct professor at the University of Detroit School of Dentistry. He has since been in private practice in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Dr. Murphy was on the Board of Trustees of The Pankey Institute, has presented at Pankey Institute Outreach Seminar for the past 6 years and has been invited to speak at each of the last 4 meetings of The L.D. Pankey Alumni Association.

A 1980 graduate of Case Western Reserve University College of Dentistry in Cleveland, Ohio, Gary completed a general practice residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton before returning to northwest Ohio to practice wiht his wife, Dr. Cheryl DeWood.  They established a thriving restorative, family and GP orthodontic practice in Pemberville that was transistioned to a new owner in 2003.

Gary began an association with The Pankey Institute in 1987 as a continuum participant and joined the visiting faculty in 1993. In 1995 he received a part-time faculty appointment at The Medical College of Ohio as Assistant Professor in Otolaryngology, where he completed his Masters in Biomedical Science and worked with residents and medical students.  He is currently Clinical Director at The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Key Biscayne, Florida.

Dr. Steve Ratcliff attended Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry, worked several years in hospital dentistry and with a large group practice, and in 1986 began his own private restorative practice in Cleveland, Ohio. After completing the postgraduate Continuum of The Pankey Institute in 1995, Dr. Ratcliff was invited to join the Visiting Faculty of the Institute.

From 1995-2001, he served as a valued Visiting Faculty member of The Pankey Institute. He holds a position as Clinical Instructor in the Department of General Dentistry at Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry. In 2002, Dr. Ratcliff left his very successful implant-restorative practice to become full time Director of Academic Affairs of The Pankey Institute. Dr. Ratcliff is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Equilibration Society, and American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics. He became a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry in 1993. He has published in the Journal of the American Dental Association, The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology. He is a regular contributor to The Pankey Institute’s quarterly newsletter.

Dr. Ratcliff lectures nationally and internationally and works with study clubs on a variety of topics including clinical restorative dentistry, occlusion, complex case treatment planning, natural beauty and esthetics, and the behavioral aspects of dental practice. In addition to his teaching duties he accepts a limited number of patients in the faculty practice whose cases are germane to the Institute's curriculum.
Dr. Irwin Becker
Dr. Irwin Becker
Dr. Irwin M. Becker has chaired the Department of Education of The Pankey Institute since 1984. He is responsible for leading the development of the curriculum, course content and teaching materials. He lectures extensively on clinical topics and on the Philosophy of the Practice of Dentistry; he also leads many of the hands-on clinic and lab exercises.

Dr. Becker received his dental degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1969. After serving in the U.S. Army Dental Corps, he attained his Board eligibility from the Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry in Periodontal Prosthodontics.

In his private practice, Dr. Becker has achieved a high level of success as a restorative dentist for patients who have undergone the ravages of periodontal disease. Prior to joining the Institute, he was Chairman of Periodontal Prosthesis of the Dade County Dental Research Clinic, and Chairman of the Crown and Bridge section of the Mount Sinai General Dentistry Residency program. In 1982, he became a full time faculty member of The Pankey Institute. In 1986, he was appointed Clinical Associate Professor of the University of Florida.

Dr. Becker lectures extensively nationally and internationally. He is a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists and the American College of Dentists. He is a member of the American Equilibration Society, having chaired two Society meetings. He is also a member of the American Prosthetics Society, American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, International College of Dentists, and Pierre Fauchard Academy. He has served on the scientific investigation committee of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, presenting the literature review for occlusion and TMD topics. He has been published in numerous scientific journals, including The Journal of Craniomandibular Practice, Dental Clinics of North America, The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, The International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry, The Journal of the American Dental Association, and Dental Economics, and has produced many instructional video presentations for The Pankey Institute. In 2005 Dr. Becker was honored with the Weclew Award by the Academy of General Dentistry, one of the highest awards given for extraordinary accomplishments in dental education.

Dr. Becker and Susie, his wife of 42 years, focus much of their time on their family – three children and four grandchildren. Dr. Becker also enjoys fly-fishing in many of the pristine venues of the world.

Mary Osborne has worked in dentistry for over thirty five years as a clinical hygienist and patient facilitator.
